In Ghana 96% of the population is religious people's. And out of it 72.1% are Christians and 17.7% are Muslims and 6.6% are traditionalist and other religions which means 3.6% are atheists in Ghana. This article is base on on ground facts and years of research plus interviews. I know by reading this article you may think am an atheist but am an honest Christian and respect every religion and it's rules and values.
THE first religion that is making people poor is the Christian religion and is also the largest in number of people that are in poverty in Ghana. Now in Ghana every time there's a church activity which means allot of people that are Christians are going to church always and are always working less. To our conclusion churches in Ghana play a key role whether Ghana will improve or backslide.
Anyone who reads the Bible or listens to Bible preaching have come a cross this Bible quotation in 2nd thessalonians 3 : 10
" for even when we we're with you,
This we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should eat. "

this Scripture means a hands that don't work must not eat. So if you spend almost all your week days at church how do you expect to gain something to feed your family and even yourself.
And majority of the people going to church is not to worship God but rather they go they for prayers about marriage , work problems, traveling abroad problems, sickness, had a nightmare and whole lot. Some also go to prayers because they think a relative is ugly so he/she is a witchcraft and author of his/her problems.
The part that they spend most time at churches don't make them gain and also another fascinating part that is making them loose money is when they have to pay consultation fees to see pastor and also buying thing like anointing oil, Shea butter, God water, orange and a whole lot or things . So first they skip working hours to go to church which don't make them gain and buy things at the church making them loose money.
Sick patients loosing their lives because they believe in the conspiracy that their sickness is spiritual and as a matter of fact they don't treat it at the hospital. This is how the Christian religion is leaving people in poverty in Ghana and some also losing their lives.

They have small amount of people but the inherit members of both Christian's and Muslims because it was the first religion in Ghana so even tho people are going to church and mosque majority of them go back to their roots for help. They all act like is an unGodly worship but yet they go to them. Almost 30% of things you hear on radios and TV's are promoting traditionalist. They also talk about making people rich, healing their sickness, making them win lottery, doubling or multiplying their money and whole lot of things that makes life better they claim to help you get it.
One may ask how can someone offering you riches leave you in poverty. Is simple if I know the winning numbers of lottery why should I give it to you a stranger when my family members are broke, if I can multiply money why don't I multiply my family members money for them but instead multiply it for you a stranger, I can help you travel to your dream country but I don't even have a passport nor have been at airport before all these don't make sense.
Is not like am stepping on their toes but such things are not logic and 80% of the youth is falling for these tricks and lies. The fact that their proposal is not logic, if you agree to it you will loose money and waste time. The moment you agree to them they start demanding for things from cheap ones to the high ones through a well planed process makes you stack because you have invest and can't stop , also you are been given a difficult task to accomplish. Most people don't just loose money but they get their life been ruined because of a difficult task which can end the victim in jail. One may ask what task will the victim do in order to end up in jail. These people blackmail their victims that if they don't kill or bring a human body parts they will die. You and I know it takes allot guts to kill a human being and is also against the laws of the land.
Sick people mostly die under treatment of these traditionalist. They make victims believe their sickness is spiritual curse and hospitals can't cure it. I will not disagree base on research most people have been cured by herbs offered by traditionalist. But the probability of deaths are high than people been cured, meaning the fakes are allot than the real ones in terms of trusting them to help cure your sickness.
And the last is the Islamic , in Ghana when someone is a mallam, sheikh or imam the society classify them as spiritual guru's and almost 70% of the population thinks they gut spiritual problems. Since majority thinks they gut spiritual problems so allot of people build billboards and call them self mallams, sheikh and imams and they do similar as the traditionalist .
